It is utilized to reduce surface tension in water based drilling fluids as well as solids free work over and completion fluids. It is Effective at high temperature and at different PH of water based mud. It tolerates high concentration of salts.

It is normally utilized to reduce and control the foaming in brines. It is a silicon based anti foam agent utilized in silicate mud system.
