Zinc Iodide is a chemical compound made of zinc and iodine having a molecular formula ZnI2. It is a white solid that readily absorbs water from the atmosphere. It can be manufactured directly by the reaction of zinc and iodine while refluxing ether. Product Application:

Zinc iodide is used as an x-ray opaque penetrant in industrial radiography to enhance the contrast. It is used as electrode compartments and as a stain in electron microscopy in association with osmium tetroxide.

Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Store in a well-ventilated place. Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste
