Product Description:

The main application of sodium chlorite is the generation of chlorine dioxide for bleaching and stripping of textiles, pulp, and paper. It is also used for disinfection of municipal water treatment plants after conversion to chlorine dioxide.

Product Application:

Sodium chlorite is the only chlorite salt produced commercially in significant quantities. It is used mainly for the generation of chlorine dioxide in situ for bleaching textiles, in pulp and paper processing, and for disinfection.

Product Dose:

a species that can form in very concentrated solutions of chlorine dioxide and sodium chlorite. Its decomposition releases oxygen gas, which causes pressure increases. Consequently, it is critical to keep the chlorine dioxide in solution diluted with water.

Product Note:

You would weigh 28 gms of Sodium Chlorite and mix with 72 gms of Distilled water, which yields a 22.4% Sodium Chlorite concentration. For a full 28% solution, you would use 35 gm of Sodium Chlorite to 65 gm of Distilled Water. 15 of 15 found this helpful
