Potassium Hypochlorite

Potassium hypochlorite with the formula KClO is a pungent colourless solution with an irritating odour. Potassium hypochlorite can be prepared by the reaction of chlorine with potassium hydroxide. It can also be produced by the electrolysis of potassium chloride solution.
