Product Description:

Fuchsin Acid is a triarylmethane dye that can be used for trichrome staining of connective tissues according to Mallory and Van Gieson. ... If the sample is fixated in Zenker's solution, it enables quality separation of individual tissue components.

Product Application:

Acid fuchsin has wide use in histology, and is one of the dyes used in Masson's trichrome stain. This method is commonly used to stain cytoplasm and nuclei of tissue sections in the histology laboratory in order to distinguish muscle from collagen.

Product Dose:

fuchsin may precipitate in regions where selective staining does not occur. The addition of 1.0 ml. of glacial acetic acid to the aldehyde fuchsin.
